The New Yorker

Founded in 1925, The New Yorker offers a signature mix of reporting and commentary on politics, international affairs and the arts, along with fiction, poetry, humour, and cartoons. The iPad app is available each Monday and contains every story, every cartoon, every thing from the print edition but with some wonderful extras including poetry read by the authors and the best iPad instruction video you’ll see.

Judges comments:

“A brilliant extension to a classic brand. It embraces new media without losing the heritage of the brand. Great navigation and shows that simple styling and subtle interactive touches can really work on the iPad.”
